Hello TAG Member or Guest,

I am David, the organizer of the Tampa Adventure Group located here in beautiful Tampa Florida. Just some back ground about me, I have run 4 large groups in my lifetime so feel assured I am not new to this task.

This is one of the very rare times you will find me brag about myself. I would rather hear what you guys and gals, the members have to say. Anyways here we go.....

I am from all over the USA, raised in California, lived in New York, South Carolina, Texas, Missouri, Nevada, and Florida. I have visited England, The Caribbean Dutch Islands, Caracas, Germany, Turkey, Costa Rica, Canada, and others.

As a young kid I was always interested in the great outdoors and it has been a life-long dream of mine to through-hike the Appalachian Trail, climb Mount McKinley in Alaska which will soon come true.

At the age of 16 I was already involved in the outdoors. I worked at a 4-H state owned camp for many years as an instructor for rock climbing, sailing, rifles, archery, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, high-ropes, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

After working as an instructor I decided to pick up a real job. It took 3 years of brutal training and suffering through some of our nation’s best Arctic, jungle, and water survival schools I graduated and went off to work.

I have extensive experience, 10years+, hiking in the Adirondack Mountains, Skiing the slopes of the central plains, mountain climbing the Spring Mountains of Nevada solo, and diving in hundreds of fresh and salt bodies of water around the world.

I am currently working on hiking the complete Florida Trail solo and have completed about 40% of the distance by segments.

I just returned from a 5 day Costa Rican trip into the rain forests and diving the Pacific coast near Nicaragua, which was awesome.

When I'm not out tromping around on some trail, 120 feet under the water, or skiing down the side of a mountain, you will find me at a gym or rock climbing gym, hiking some portion of the Florida Trail.

If I am worn out you will find me at the movie theater, a football game, at an Italian restaurant, or just spending a rainy day on the couch watching Seinfeld reruns.

I am not married, and do not have any kids since I have been asked a few times.

I currently live in south Tampa.

I'm Michelle and I live in South Tampa. I absolutely love nature and wildlife and hiking. I scuba dive and have just started to bike some. I'd love to get into climbing and paddling.
Looking forward to getting involved in the activities here.

Hi my name is Veronica and I have lived in Tampa for 4 yrs now. Moved here from the Winday City (Chicago). I love the Sunshine State. Love doing anything outside. I don't know too many people in Tampa, especially that want to be as active as I want to be. So I did a search and discovered TAG. I have yet to do an event with the group. Mainly because I work at a hair salon and Saturdays are a busy day. Hope to soon meet you David and other of the TAG members.
